This past July Louis Gervais Fine Foods & Catering had the pleasure of catering a beautiful wedding at Saint Martins Church.

This was a beautiful evening filled with laughs, wine, dancing, a delicious plated dinner, and of course a happy bride and groom.

APPETIZER

Micro Sprouted Greens (GF)
garnished with fresh berries & sweet field onions with a champagne citrus vinaigrette

Gluten Free Baguette with Butter

MAINS

Marinated Rib Eye Steak
served with a fresh mango salsa, roasted new potatoes & grilled artisan vegetables

Sabel Fish Médallions
served with red wine butter sauce, roasted new potatoes with sea salt & Provençale herbs & French green beans

DESSERT

Flour-less Chocolate Mousse Cake
served with strawberries

As an Event Planner I know the impact catering can make on an event and I rely on excellent caterers to help me ensure that my clients and their guests have an amazing experience! It was a blast !!! Everybody really enjoyed the cooking class last night, we learned a few tricks and lots of laughs with wine in hand.
This concept of interacting in a fun way as a group while having the pleasure of cooking and eating is fabulous. A big thank you to your cheerful team, and especially Louis with his fun approach to things. I so much appreciate a positive approach just like I do at my business here, and with Louis one can feel his passion for cooking and life, and I love that.

We had a last minute Corporate Christmas function for 85 people in our home. Jennifer Greenman was our first contact. She handled our account start to finish & not a detail was missed. She was a pleasure to deal with. The first menu sent hit every mark, the rentals were perfect, the staff gracious & Chef Louis’ food Fantastic. To make it even better if that’s possible it looked like the party hadn’t even happened the next day….super cleanup!! A huge thank you to all involved!!

Words cannot explain how happy we were with Louis Gervais Fine Foods as our catering company for our wedding. We were planning the wedding in Vancouver from Australia, so the stress could have been really high but starting from the email response when I first approached them for a quote, Louis Gervais stood out from all the other catering companies that I contacted. This was followed with genuine follow through as well!!! When we got to Vancouver, with only three weeks leading up to the wedding, they had everything organized for us. We were greeted by the kitchen staff with such warmth and hospitality. Everything we tasted was sensational and was replicated on our wedding day. Our guests continuously commented on the quantity of the food. With just the few conversations we had leading up to the wedding everything was EXACTLY the way I envisioned it.

LOVE this place, the food and the people. Have been there several times – for a cooking class, for lunch, and they’ve catered two events for us. Just last weekend they catered our daughter’s outdoor wedding reception and the guests raved about the food all night long – a huge success.
They’re always a pleasure to deal with – friendly, attentive and willing to go the extra mile with creativity and attention to detail. Great atmosphere at the shop – excellent service all round and even Chef himself is very welcoming. What I appreciate the most is that they serve good food, prepared very well with no pretentiousness. A breath of fresh air.
There was a range of tastes at the last event – from mid-20’s hipster types to young professionals to aunties from the prairies to urbanites with sophisticated palates. In other words, a tough crowd. And they ALL loved the food.
Everything was on time and exactly as promised or even better. Anyone organizing an event knows that is golden.
It’s worth mentioning that I was involved in producing a series of upscale food and wine events across Canada, working with the top chefs in each city. The folks at Louis Gervais are completely professional and top rate. Highly recommended.

Last year we decided to add a spousal component to our conference. We thought that a cooking class at Louis Gervais would be a great way for everyone to get to know each other and have some fun. Louis was outstanding! He made all the ladies feel welcome and ensured everyone was taken care of. One of the ladies brought her 7 year old son to one of the cooking classes. At the end of the class, Louis gave the boy a child’s size chef‘s jacket and butcher’s apron to take home. The little boy and his Mom were just thrilled! Everyone had a wonderful experience! Thanks for going above and beyond our expectations!
